JOSHUA OLUWATOBI AMOS

Founder & CEO

My journey with FarmFresh began in my grandmother's kitchen in Nigeria, where I watched her preserve seasonal vegetables using traditional drying methods. She taught me that food preservation wasn't just about extending shelf life, but about capturing the essence of each vegetable at its peak.

After studying food science at university, I combined traditional knowledge with modern technology to create FarmFresh. Our mission is simple: to make nutritious, flavorful dried vegetables accessible to everyone, while supporting local farmers and promoting sustainable food practices.

Every package we deliver carries not just vegetables, but a piece of our commitment to quality, community, and the rich culinary heritage of Africa.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about African natural foods and our products

What are the benefits of dried vegetables over fresh ones?

Dried vegetables retain most of their nutritional value while having a much longer shelf life. They're convenient, lightweight, and perfect for storage. Our drying process specifically preserves vitamins, minerals, and flavor compounds that make them nutritionally comparable to fresh vegetables.

How should I store dried vegetables?

Store dried vegetables in a cool, dark place in airtight containers. Avoid exposure to moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. Properly stored, our dried vegetables can last up to 12 months while maintaining quality and flavor.

What traditional African vegetables do you offer?

We specialize in both common and traditional African vegetables including bitter leaf, ogbono, ewedu, fluted pumpkin (ugu), and more. We're constantly working with local farmers to introduce more indigenous varieties to our product line.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide. Our packaging is designed to withstand international shipping while maintaining product quality. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination.

How do I rehydrate dried vegetables?

Most dried vegetables can be rehydrated by soaking in warm water for 20-30 minutes. Alternatively, you can add them directly to soups, stews, or sauces where they will rehydrate during cooking. Specific instructions are provided on each product package.
